(NEW) i1 iSis2, a better way to measure!
The i1 iSis2 is the worlds newest automatic chart reader for production environments like high end Proofing, Remote Proofing, Digital Printing, Photo Processing, and Fine Art Printing, where speed, accuracy, and ease of use are essential. The iSis2 replaces the iSis (1).
The iSis2 is the next generation of automated chart reading spectrophotometers and is compliant with the latest standards. M1 is now the specified measurement condition for GRACoL 2013, SWOP 2013 and ISO 12647-2. To comply with these standards, it is recommended that measurements should be done using M1 measurement conditions. In addition, M1 measurement conditions are required to achieve accurate proof-to-press-sheet matches in newer M1-compliant lighting booths. The new iSis2 is natively XRGA for great inter-instrument agreement.
The i1 iSis2 offers unique switchable UV illumination to capture no-filter and UV-cut filter data in a single measurement process. Users simply feed the chart into the device, and the visual chart recognition system automatically detects and aligns accordingly. With the XL version, there is no need to cut large test charts, or print on multiple pages.
Main Features
- Electronically switchable between no-filter plus UV-Cut filter data in a single measurement cycle or a UV-Cut only measurement cycle.
- XL version (A3+, Tabloid format) allows to measure charts with as many as 2,500 patches printed on a single A3 (Tabloid) page in just 10 minutes - eliminating the time consuming task of cutting charts and feeding multiple pages. The Standard version reads up to 1500 patches on a single A4/Letter sheet in just 8 minutes.
- Built-in vision system that offers high tolerance for how charts are aligned as they are fed into the system and automatically corrects for misalignment.
- Barcode reading, for chart identification adds further ease of use and error safety
OBC:
The OBC component allows users in color-critical proofing and printing environments to effectively and precisely compensate for color shifts in custom ICC output profiles caused by Optical Brightening Agents (OBAs) in papers and other printing substrates. Optical Brightening Agents (OBAs) are increasingly used by paper mills and premium inkjet paper manufacturers to make a yellowish paper appear whiter and brighter. However, available color measurement and management technologies have been unable to effectively deal with the color variations caused by OBAs. With X-Rite's optical brightener correction solution, users will be able to achieve visual equivalence between color measurement results from instruments and from the visual appearance of a sample in a viewing booth.
