The eXact combines the ultimate in measurement accuracy with exceptional ergonomics and user-friendliness. This handheld, portable spectrodensitometer offers all the densitometric functions needed to quickly and easily monitor and control color on-press. Plus the Standard and Advanced units also combine all of the colorimetric functions needed to accurately measure and control special colors.
All three models are built upon a new rugged aluminum frame with the latest in measurement technology. The new Scan Option can be added to any model. eXact support all measurment modes according to ISO 13655:2009 (M0, M1, M2, and M3). With the Multi-Mode Optics the eXact can measure M0, M2 and M3 simultaneously in under 1 second!

- eXact Standard: For customers who print CMYK and/or spot colors in the pressroom and verify color from proof to press. For customers who print according to ISO 12647- 2 (PSO, G7, JapanColor, ISO 12647-2)
- eXact Advanced: For customers who print CMYK and spot colors and are disciplined about tracking systematic process control. Additionally for use in QA /QC Ink Mixing, incoming materials inspection and fitted as a reference/master device for development and testing labs.

Upgrades, Warranty, Support, Maintenance and Service Contracts:

Upgrades: All upgrades listed are issued as 'Passcodes' and are intended for easy field and customer upgradability
Warranty and Support Extensions: The Warranty and Support Extension is available to X-Rite eXact device owners from the time of purchase until the expiration of the original product warranty. It enhances the basic technical warranty and support included as part of the solution purchased. Extended Warranty and Support is purchased in annual increments for up to 3 years coverage from time of purchase.

- Extends original warranty and technical support for 12 months
- One-way (outbound) shipping costs
- Personalized support: Access to the X-Rite email Technical Support and Call Center for product function questions and general product issues
- Note 1: To qualify for personalized support, you must be the original registered user of the X-Rite product, you must own currently supported X-Rite hardware and/or software products, and you are currently using a supported platform (operating system) under X-Rite recommended operating guidelines.

Preventive Maintenance: The Certification and Preventive Maintenance plan provides for a one-time certification and the X-Rite Five Point Checkup on X-Rite eXact devices. It is recommended to be recertified annually. Where applicable or necessary, X-Rite will provide printed documentation and/or a dated certification sticker.

- One annual certification per contract. This certification meets the requirements of ISO 9001 and 17025. X-Rite certified technician will annually:
- Verify and document the devices incoming performance
- Inspect and clean the device
- Test measurement accuracy
- Verify repeatablility and consistency

- Limitations: This plan does not cover unit repair or inbound shipping costs. If a repair is necessary, it will be completed on a first come, first served basis. It will be billed at either a flat rate or according to contract terms and conditions. Damage caused to devices by abuse or misuse is not covered. Not all devices qualify for certification. Customer is required to pay both inbound and outbound shipping.
Premium Support: The Premium Support plan optimizes your color investment, combining the benefits of the Full Service Contract with an extended level of service that expands your color training opportunities and provides workflow analysis designed to improve your operating efficiency. Premium Support is available to X-Rite eXact solution owners if purchased prior to the expiration of the original product warranty. Contracts are available for one, two or three years.

- Unlimited Priority Access to Customer Support Center: Priority response rates;
acknowledging receipt and response will be within 2 hours.
- 1 hour Personal Color Trainer per contract
- First preference given to premium customers while registrations open to e-learning / web based training sessions
Service Contract: The Full Service Contract includes X-Rites Annual Five Point Checkup developed to keep your device performing in accordance with original manufactured specifications. The Full Service Contract is available to X-Rite eXact device owners from the time of purchase until the expiration of the original product warranty. Flat Rate Repair: The Flat Rate Repair program allows customer to get their units repaired if they are out of warranty and not already under an X-Rite Full Service Contract. Where applicable or necessary X-Rite will certify your device and provide printed documentation and/or a dated certification sticker.

- Service work billed at all-inclusive flat rate fee, covering labor and parts. (Depot service work conducted at an X-Rite or Certified Partner Service Center.)
- X-Rite Five Point Check Up performed by X-Rite certified technician:
- Verify and document the devices incoming performance
- Inspect and clean the device
- Test measurement accuracy
- Verify repeatability and consistency
- Certify the device
- Limitations: Turnaround time is on a first come, first served basis. Service work on all devices quoted by an X-Rite representative. Damage caused to devices by abuse or misuse is not covered. Device owner responsible for two way shipping costs.
